Hello, i have set up a dedicated server with source meta mod. It works fine but when i try to or something like that, it comes up with this message: >>> More than one client matched the given pattern...<<< I don't know what it means with that. And when i try to slap people it also wants me to give an amount of damage they should have. But when i do that i gives me this message: >>> Invalid amount specified<<<, How should i write the amount? (Example)>>> I do like this in my console: rcon sm_slap (PLAYERNAME) 10

[CS1.6] moving forward-backward + strafing problems

This just started about 3 days ago, been playing CS 1.6 + CS:CZ via Steam for months now, no problems, but out of nowhere I cannot move foward/backward and strafe at the same time anymore. I'll be moving forward and try to strafe right and I just keep moving forward. Or i'll be strafing right and try to go forward at the same time and just keep strafing right. Btw this only happened in 1.6, CZ doesn't have this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Whenever I install steam it says that it is going to update. So i wait for it to update but it says im missing dll files. So i check C:programfiles/steam/steam and I have no dll files at all. PLEASE HELP

hello, Im new to this forum and i have a question. I've looked around and still found the answer. Well, my problem is that my server list for CS 1.6 or CSCZ, is not listing all the servers. When I refresh the the server list only a few will show up and my ping isn't that great on the servers that shows up. I've been having this problem for quiet sometime now. please help , thank you

i ve created a server.. all my frnds can join it.. i can join it too,,. how much i know i am joining it as a client.. but to change maps i need to be admin.. im using adminmod.. for cs1.6 i went to client.ini put my name as irishsetter:abc123:131071 went to console typed setinfo_pw abc123 then joined server ,.. i get error.. disconnected from server.. because admin is reserved for someone else.. how do i solve this..

OK I want do mapping for Sourec I've done it for 1.6 but now to do it for Source I need Source SDK I cannot get it from steam so I need to get it somewhere else. Or if I can find the Tolls.GCF file I can get it Through steam. Any help please.:):D:(:o;):p:mad::hmm::huh::uhh:

I dont know how to update server. Whenever i start my server a message is displayed that "your server is out of date ,plz update and restart " Plz anyone who knows reply guys !!!!!!

i want to play counter strike with my friends who are in diff location(diff states),i have taken one dedicated server access for counter strike from some company(ultimate gaming server). now i have counter strike installed on my system, when i add that dedicated server ip address to favorites it does nothing, i am not sure whts wrong,whether i have to use steam or non stream version of counter strike ? and wht is diff...? rite now i can play on local lan using existing game....

Alright, so every time I goto activate Hammer with the Counter Strike:Source Configurations, Hammer starts up normally, but before the logo disappears I get a windows error saying Hammer.exe has an expected error and a few choices like sending information, Don't send, Debug (which doesn't work) or see what will be in the error report. I goto to see what the error is and there is a bunch programming stuff that doesn't make sense. The file they send out I type in the path and it doesn't work or exsist. So I uninstalled SDK, re-installed it, reset the configs and refresh everything. Still nothing for CS:S. Then I uninstalled steam, re-installed it and tried it again. Nothing. I verified the Data Cache and nothing popped up same with Defrag. Now I tried this with HL2 and the episodes, but they work fine, I can map with them. When I use CS:S it doesn't work. I have used hammer on several occasions so it's not the first time I used it and it's not a noob error. I'd really like some help with this and I appreciate the effort you guys can provide. Oh and I'm not sure if it matters or not, but I am on XP... :P

Unknown HLTV client type - help me!

Hi! When i try to join a server it says " Unknown HLTV client type ". It only happens on some servers. Can anyone explain, why this is happening and how i can solve the problem!

we 're trying to connect with hamachi,I make a new lan server and my friend writes to his console "connect .....(my ip from hamachi)" and it says LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C) what can we do?

Ok the subject pretty much says it all. I have custom maps already downloaded but id like to customize them farther........ But id like to Covert these .BSP files to .VMF files....... to edit them with hammer..... i need an answer or some hints or anything useful.... THANK YOU VERY much

Please, help me who knows, cause I'm bad with computers. I downloaded CS source from steam. Everything went great, I launched it, set up the game, bots, and when it loaded the map it showed an empty table instead of description of the map as usual, and it stopped, i couldn't do anything from there. What is that? Do i have to load the map additionally or it's something with set up????

Hello, I'm just new with the program Hammer Editor (v3.5 I think) I created a small map and compilid it into my maps folder in the cstrike directory. When I start up the game and type in console: map firstmap I get this error in it: CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: 'firstmap' is not a valid BSP file map load failed: firstmap not found or invalid Does anybody have an idea what I might have done wrong? right, how do i make my own wc3 server, where me and my mates can play by our selves? i downloadaded the AMX mod x thing and the wc3 mod folder, but i have no clue what to do with them, and all the help guides i've seen make it so confusing and i tried anyway but i keep getting it wrong please someone help. =]
