New Steam 3.0 Client

Posted by Sebastian · 04/28/10 @7:59 am · steam updates · 2 comments
After nearly 7 years since the last Steam make-over (back in 2003) VALVe has officially released the new v3.0 of the Steam Client.

Among some of the changes (besides the obvious improved GUI - Graphic User Interface) are a bunch of features and optimization to the client. It's been long over-due and we're happy to see VALVe has been dedicated to making Steam one of the most successful game distribution client ever made. Almost hard to believe its been almost 10 years since the initial concept of Steam was introduced back in early 2001. I was one of the lucky few to be invited to the first Beta Steam version 1 when it was introduced in 2001.. What does this mean? I'm getting old! ;-)

Email us or post and let us know what you think, and any features that have been left out.. I will gladly pass the info along to VALVe.,
As a side note, we're updating the site for some long over-due stuff and changes. we apologies, but we're getting the ball rolling with some much needed help now.

It's harder to get to the Source SDK. It's only accessible from the full-size interface, and not from the minimized menu anymore.
