Author notes
*** WARNING ***

This is a "showcase" map by Kasperg, an architecture student.

You need to load this map in Half-Life 2 (NOT CS:S).

This is NOT a playable map. There are no spawn points for either CT or T. You just walk around in the map and marvel at the mapping skill of Kasperg and design talent of Frank Lloyd Wright.

*** WARNING ***

This map is based on Frank Lloyd Wright's Kaufmann House and Guest Wing in Bear Run, Pennsylvania.
Although it's not a 100% representation of the buildings, the textures choices and measurements give
a very accurate impression of the real place.
You can find info on the real house here:

mappers only

Well, I did warn you that it's not a playable map.

It's posted here for other mappers, not gamers.

I wish Source was out when I had my Design2 class, I would have done the same thing. Falling water is one the greatest houses to date, good job.

Re: remap

You could politely ask the author. A CS version is planned, but it wont be ready any time soon.

Mapping

on my last note.... i know why....no spawn points.... but why dont you make it into a playable map with spawn points?? It would be dissapointing if this was an only visual map. Please make it a playable map.

The mapper, Kasperg, is a busy graduate student in architecture. He'll try to do it on his spare time if he can.

WOW

This kid has some talent... awsome map if you ever get some free time you should apply for a side job for valve creating maps for them LOL not as much money as you could get but if you did it in your spare time you could make the CS:S community very happy and keep great new maps coming out all the time because as we all know valve takes forever to release new maps... they make me wonder that they have nothig more then a room full of monkeys working on offical maps for release LOL anyway good job kid keep up the good work

thanks!, although a lot of credit goes to the architect who made the real house. I only had to do some research and then map for a whole month.
As for helping the CS:S community, it's kind of hard to think about it since I havent played the game for ages and I'm really not planning to.
I have several HL2DM projects in progress so I wont go back to this map for quite a long time I'm afraid.

Why not allow someone else to do it but give credit to yourself? I'm sure there is someone around here with the knowledge on modding that could do this map some very good justice.

Since you have zero time on your hands this would be best because it is wanted.

It makes sense to me.

Due to popular demand, I have opened up the map for cstrike:source and I'm experimenting with new props and textures. I have 3 weeks of vacation in April so I might actually work on it with dedication. I made the original map in 30 vacation days, so this adaptation wont be a big deal, I hope

Re: Cool!w00t!

looks good;
I bet it runs like shit; since he didn't finish, id imagine that he didn't bother to optimize. Hey, would you mind if i finish it off for you; hook me up with the .vmt and I'll give you all the credit for the design/architecture.
