Map Notes
Action take place in a little mansion in transylvania where terrorists have just taken refuge, at night. Counters have to rescue hostages which have been hidden in the basement. But it seems there is something strange with or in this house...

i like how the lightning shines thru the windows. should of made the coffins open when someone is near them, scare the hell out of a camper.

not sure if you put out two different versions o\f thios map or if theres another map out there with the same name.

BUt i had to take it off the server dew to people not getting in.

Duplicate error please4 delete the map you have now and try again etc.

Not sure what the error said for sure but many had the same problem.

I got in fine though and for the short time i had it on it was a lot of fun.

Is it possibloe if I renamed this map??? or would that mess things up...

It's very strange because I am sure there is only one bsp version of the map, and i have never see another map with the same name...

turns out it was just one guy, for some reason he can't connect to our redirect server, so strange. Map is back on and doing well.

Same problem

I am having the same problem on my server. Map was running good for a few days and now everyone is getting map differs from server error. Great map by the way !!! I hope some can tell me how to fix this, because i had to take it out of my server rotation.

Very nice map! One thing tho... is there any way to turn off the thunder sounds. I had to take it out of rotation because of that. Thats the only complaint I have heard, but I heard it a lot.

Thunder is cool, but it's just too constant, especially when you go 30 rounds!

Other than that, this is an awesome map, good job!

Looks like the resi entrance hall lol. Man this map would be so fuckin sweet with the zombie mod installed . I would probably reduce the light almost to the point of it being annoyingly dark and make it rain outside the house (if you could get the occasional thunder flash it wud be the icing on the cake, i dunno if its possible cos ive never made a map though :S lol)

Hostage area problem

It's official ... I love this map. So do my clan. Apart from one small issue when it was discovered.

There's only one entry way into the hostage area. I popped into the server the other night ... and there were 14 Terrorists camping in the hostage area awping any CT that tried to pop their heads around the corner.

The camp factor in the hostage zone on this map is ridiculous.
Ts hanging on the painting on the wall just inside and over the only entrance.
Ts awping from behind the coffin through the only entrance.
Ts camping on the raised platform to the left of the only entrance.
Ts hiding with the hostages and using them as meatshields while they awp through the only entrance.

Please tell me that I'm not the only one with this issue. I love your map ... but you cannot give the Ts such an easy time of it.

cs_spetznas is another cs map with only one entrance ... but camping Ts in the hostage zone can be sniped through windows.

This map is beautiful, well made, imaginative, and if the Ts don't camp, balanced and fun ... but it won't run on my servers while Ts can guard the hostages so easily.

Some suggestions.

1. introduce some sort of vampire life suck effect into the hostage room. Anyone in there slowly loses health except for the hostages who are standing on tiny areas that are immune to the effect. This is ensure that people using them as shields would also be affected.

or

2. Create a lever in the basement that causes the coffin in the center of the hostage area to descend into a spiral staircase up into the hostage area so that CTs have two access points.

or

3. Remove the looney tunes painting on the wall and replace it with some unbreakable glass ... aka cs_spetznas ... so that CTs can shoot through it at any Ts camping in the hostage room.

or

4. Create some sort of teleport connected to the coffin in the room so that CTs can teleport in. ... not a great idea ... if the Ts are camping in there ... but at least gives a second option.

or

5. create a locked grill door at the entrance to the hostage zone that can be unlocked from a panel somewhere near a first contact point ... so that CTs and Ts have to rush to get control of it ... Ts can't enter the hostage zone until it is activated, and CTs can't get to hostages until it is activated. It would create a dual mission map for both teams. A bit like cs_chickenrun.

Just my two cents. It's still a great achievement. The flying books in the library caused my death a few times as I stared at them in amazement.
