couldn't open .wad file
why hammer says WARNING: couldn't open \valve16\cstrike\de_vegas.wad

if the file is present in that folder?

Is that file in your cstrike folder?

Not sure what this is. Anyone knows?

This is BAD. VIS is crucial. why is your VIS set to your map? Your VIS (In Build Programs) should be set to C:\Program Files\Valve Hammer Editor\Tools\qvis or something like that. Its in Hammer\tools and there is "vis" in the name.

In fact, you should use ZHLT. Its better than the Hammer stuff. Extract it, put it anywhere you want and go to Build Programs.
All the stuff they want will be in your ZHLT folder. CSG, BSP, VIS is all there.

I'v downloaded ZHLT tools and entered their paths in hammer to compile


now what im getting is

Ok, I think the wad "vegas.wad" should not be used. Your Hammer always seems to have a problem with it.
I'll send you something else.
And like the quote said, check there and it should tell you whats wrong.
That's whats so good about ZHLT!!!
