i have instaled amx mod to deticated server and i want to add myself as an admin how do i do that and where do i go to do it?

edit the user.ini file and add your steamid.

my server says "cant open cs_snowbase.wad" i downloaded the file but where do i put it

hey xta$y, put the wad file in ur counter strike folder. go to ur hard drive then Valve-Steam-SteamApps-then go into ur username-counterstrike-cstrike and put it in there. should work then. coz thats where all the other wad files are stored.

i am using a source dedicated server, but it doesn't have thngs like rank, timeleft, and other things too.

I already intalled all mani's file, but it doesn't work.

i made my server at cs or cs source (i have the same problem..)
and it was lan, offcourse i took sv_lan 0
and then its not found on the search whats happening, i also tried the "dedicatded"thing and "dedicated source" and selected Online game

STILL PPL CANT FIND IT ON SEARCH!!! im sitting here playing alla llone and it SUCKS

by the way, yes i did set my port to 20015 or something, the thing that ends with 15 anyway..........

it is 27015 but what does it matter?? the port IS open
should it be 20015?

I set up a server and I dont think people can see it (even if they add by ip)

well u probably have windows right??

well go to the security center on control panel, then u go 2 settings on the windows firewall, its probably off but it isnt actually off, its the friggin microsoft, well back to subjeckt, the firewall is running even though it says its off and you have to add a port, ull find that under the "exeptions" catagory, now add port, name should be CS or counterstrike or whatever, now u input whatever port ur server is on (20015 or 27015) and enter, then u havce to go to ur antivirus program and do the same thing, open the port, if that dosent work u shut down the antivirus, now open server, dedicated or not doesent matter go 2 console, if it says "can't exec list.cfg" then theres another problem...... but it shouldent say that after u opened the port
if ur antivirus has a firewall u should shut it down first, its a lot of trouble

the fact that ur using the admin mod dosent matter

but before u do this, do u have a router???

it will be very nice of u if u help me ...As a matter of fact by the command cmd name <name> the name of the server on Lan(non steam cs1.6) can be changed....on ours lan ppls abusing the server maker by this command.
is there any command or way by that the name of the server maker cannot be changed plz help me on this isssue rather plz email me at mba_kudcs (at) hotmail.com...

glad you could read what i wrote the last time, i was writing with my other hand, our little cute joey bit me so har i thought my fingers were coming off m8...

anyway, have your friends tried to add IP to favourites, this is a bit spezialized (<-- lol, never knew how to spell that) and it dosent allow you to be found on the search (update server list thing) but your friends will be able to get in,

check if it says that couldent exec search cfg
im thinking m8, that the search cfg is deleted or aint there, if this is the case that basically means you wont be in the search m8, it means; that it couldent execute the SEARCH cfg, and the search cfg is what allows ppl to browse steam servers and read theyre info (ping, ip, etc)

so if it isnt there when your friends add it by IP then you have successfully made a LAN server, m8 im sorry if im asking this twice, but you did "sv_lan 0" right? cause if you aint done tha m8, then your running a litle lan server, and that SUX (lol, guess im not the only one with the spelling huh?)

so ill check back 2morrow m8, but after that im goin on a trip m8, im guessing 1-2 weeks in the ou'back so this better happen quick (offcourse, im not the only fella' in the worl that kno cs servers..)

you have a rcon passwd right? m8, make a server password to, give it to everyone, the thing is when you issue a password the server will go into sec. mode (security) and ppl cant use commands, (exept for admin)


but my guess is, you dont have a rccon passwd?
