Lightbulb [CS:S] External ethernet HDD server?
im getting an ethernet hard drive (what connects straight to router) tomorrow and im sure it comes with remote assistance.
its 1TB

is it possible to host a CS:S Server on it?
if so how can i do it?

Your files would could be on it, but the server would still technically be ran on your pc, as it needs ram, etc.

uhm no, that wouldn't work.. u could use it to store map and related files for users to download in-game, but that's about it.

attach a pc to the router and throw a few drives in it, then u can do what u want. fairly cheap to build a storage server and run a game on it too.
