[CS:S] SDK Won't Open
Hey Guys,
You may remember me from a long time ago.
I'm back... for now.
I recently got a new Notebook and I got Steam and CS:S and everything, but for some reason SDK won't launch. I want it so I can use Hammer, but it won't let.
Possibilities:
1) Vista?
2) Half-Life 2 Not installed?
3) Steam doesn't like me anymore?
Thanks for the help guys,
Magedo.

open steam and go to tools. now right click on source sdk. click on properties and then in the first tab launch options. now add this into the little box that opens: -engine ep1
That tells the source sdk to open using all of the source ep1 games or that specific engine because the last update fixed it so the sdk would work for orangebox games only, which is engin ep4 or 5. once you add -engine ep1 in it should work fine.

Got it
Fixed it.
I'm not such an idiot that i didn't do my research first guys! Obviously I knew I had to do the -engine ep1 thing, but I also had to reset game config and verify tool files.
Now it's working fine and my map is underway!
Thanks,
Magedo.
