I own CS but never could figure out how to get it to work.. i also own the other 3 original half lifes.. dont know if that help or not, but i think i'm going to take another stab at getting it to work after doing some research in these forums. Anywho:

I'm not sure if anyone here is familiar with a game call Star Wars Battle front. Basically its a bunch of offline Death Matches between different Star Wars teams. I love the concept, and Star Wars is ok, but I'm wondering if there's any games like this Battlefront game that are set in more of a current day millitary conflict. I have been told what I'm looking for is
-Ghost Recon (a campaign mode, but no offline DM) or
-Counter Strike (no offline DM or campaign, but current day military and i'm too stupid to know how to get it to work).

I'm looking for an offline game because my isp is dial up and i don't feel like dragging everyone down with lag. Does anyone know of a game like this? Would I be right to say I'm looking for a Current Day military offline deathmatch game? I imagine it to be something like Call of Duty 4 (which my pc is too old to run).
