There's just absolutely no reason to upgrade to Vista now.
I'll wait for a few years, until some games that are actually developed for DirectX 10, before upgrading.

COunter Strike Error
hi i installed cs on windows vistas ultimate and the first time i log in the game works fine everything is fine js that some games i couldnt join at first becuase it was showing 1000 something ping, and i think it's my router that's causing the problem. i dont know what port to forward cs to, i cant set DMZ on my cheap ass Airlink router cuz it says error page or something. however, after awhile, i'm able to join the game and everything works fine with liek 30-50 ms. then once i close CS and exit steam, teh next time i log back on and tried to open cs, it says the game is currently unavailable, plz try agn another time. I dont know if it's vistas tat causing this problme or my router, and if it is my router, can someone give me directions in how to open ports, forward ports, or turn off the firewall for it. I've alrdy set Steam as an exception under firewall option. plz answer wiht help any vista users out there

Vista is pretty crap. way too many compatability issues. I cant use half my games or programs. Like Riddick....I just buy it, and i cant play it because of some bullshit to do with compatability

Vista is a cheap imitation of Mac, doing what Apple has had for the past 5 years only recently, copying almost everything but not fixing the most important stuff (ERRORS ERRORS ERRORS) and simply only changing the default theme and adding a few components already long available to Mac. Long live Apple! Long live Steve Jobs!
(just to let you know, I'm using MS XP, but i have no choice...)

right, still better Mac than vista, but Mac is expensive, I think Ubuntu is a good alternative too, the interface is better than vista but it doesn't need high specification computer

Vista bad mac imitation
Yeah I have both vista and osx running on my iMac, both run just fine so far. I am a die hard mac'er though and have a Begie G3 next to it running SuSE Linux and OS9.
