hi frnds....
i have created a cs 1.6 server.... but its not workin properly...
its showing my server ip address as 192.168.1.2:27015 which is the internal address..... and also others are not able to join in my server through this ip address........ plz help wat should i do...

your behind a router! that means you have to open the port 27015 or whatever you want on that internal ip. After that in the shortcut's properties windows add +ip (external) -port (the one you choose). The way you do all this depends on the type of the connction that gets into your router like ppoe,modem,direct etc.

There are a bunch of sites that can teach you how to open ports.

but i m still having some problems....
where should i add my external ip in the properties window.... and wat is the syntax for it.... also how can i know my external ip..... i mean... what ip address will i give my frnds to connect to...

how does my connection affect my server.... like i have a huawei smatAX MT882 router....
plz help.....
