Q: My download does not start (#32)
A: There a couple of reasons why the download may not start the most common reasons:
If you're running Internet Explorer 6 with SP2 a simple way to fix this is to change your Internet Explorer options and enabling Automatic downloads, Steps: 1. Launch Internet Explorer, Click on Tools then Internet Options. 2. Select the Security tab, highlight Internet under the Zones and Custom Level. 3. Scroll down and enable Automatic prompting for file downloads under downloads. 4. Click OK on all of the open windows and close and re-open Internet Explorer. Should allow you to download. Another option is to add our site to your trusted zone, here are the steps: 1. Launch Internet Explorer, Click on Tools then Internet Options. 2. Select the Security tab then highlight Trusted sites and select Sites 3. Uncheck Require Server Verification 4. Enter the url http://www.cstrike-planet.com in the field and select Add. 5. Click OK on all of the open windows and close and re-open Internet Explorer Note: Changing any of these settings will not pose any real security risk. Download AcceleratorsIf you use a download accelerator it is highly recommended you disable it. Only one connection to the servers are supported, so if you're using a download manager that attempts to establish multiple connections, you will receive an error or you download may not start. Other CausesIf you are running Windows XP SP2 with Internet Explorer and have tried all the above and your download still won't start, double check that Allow Meta Refresh is enabled. This setting can be found by clicking on Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab, then select custom level after you've highlighted the zone. If you are still having problems, Let us know by either posting a message on our forums or by using our contact page and including the error message you are receiving, if any, and the URL to the file you're having problems downloading from. by Sebastian
